How did Susan and Adam meet?
They both studied on the New England Literature Program together in New Hampshire in the spring of 1996. Not to be mistaken for the New England Literacy Program, NELP was a Thoreau-inspired summer program through the University of Michigan English department. NELPers enjoy reading New England authors, hiking, keeping a journal, and an occasional skinny dip in Lake Winnepesaukee.

What did Sus cook for Adam on their first "date" that they would probably not eat these days?
Steak! (They went veggie together in 1999)

When did Sus and Adam officially decide to tie the knot?
May 25, 2000

What did they drink to celebrate?
Slurpies from the Seven Eleven on 9-mile in Oak Park, Michigan.

When are Susan and Adam getting married?
10 AM on August 24, 2002 (Susan's birthday - which should make it easier to remember the anniversary)

Where will the wedding take place?
At the Cranbrook Museum of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The wedding will be outdoors in the Peristyle - a modernist, geometric structure designed by Eliel Saarinen and constructed in 1942. The Peristyle frames vistas of the reflecting pools and gardens beyond. Make sure to allow some time to explore between the wedding and reception!

What if it rains?
Come anyway! We'll just move the ceremony inside the Museum.

When and where will the reception be?
Following the wedding ceremony, a luncheon reception will take place at the Birmingham Community House which is just a couple of miles down Woodward Avenue.

What will guests need to do in order to see Adam and Susan kiss at the reception?
Tell a joke. (Start polishing your repertoire!)

What are the two lovebirds' plans for after the wedding?
To spend as much time as humanly possible with everyone who shows up that weekend, then pile into the car and head west for a 5 year honeymoon in Seattle.
